The first wave of senior-itis hits.

Senioritis, from the word senior plus the suffix -itis (which refers to inflammation but in colloquial speech is assumed to mean an illness), is a colloquial term used in the United States and Canada to describe the decreased motivation toward studies displayed by students who are nearing the end of their high school careers. -Wikipedia

Three years coming and its only steadily gotten worse. I suppose I initially caught the I-need-to-graduate-and-get-out-of-highschool-soon bug when I first entered skyline as a sophmore. Now, as I have just gone to the first week of senior, it is hitting harder then ever. I am beyond excited to be done, to graduate, and to go off to college in a little over a year, regardless of how people say "these are the best years of your life... treasure them." To these people I say, you don't know a good thing until it is gone, so in order to fully appreciate highschool I must graduate.

Oh and for those of you that care, we won our first football game against the Rigby Trojans 29-28. It was a great game and although the score may not reflect our teams greatness, let me just say that, compared to last year, this is epic. Go Grizzlies!

Politicians are Stupid.

Regardless of which candidate you are voting for this fall, just let me rant for a second. This entire vice president thing with Obama is driving me up the wall. For the love of sanity, you are a grown man. If he wasn't so gosh darn charismatic, this whole text message thing would never fly.
I can just see Obama texting his "bff" this evening: "lol, Joe, do u want to b my vp?"
or McCain texting Romney: "OMG, Mitt, did u hear about Barack and Joe?" I mean, can you be anymore juvenile Mr. Obama?
In a not so impressive attempt to get the younger vote, Obama has once again made me thankful that I don't have to vote for either this fall. Hooray for being born 4 months too late.

Happy Anti-Womb Day (or 9 Month Birthday)

Today is a very special day. In fact it is a doubly special day because 9 months ago today, two very special little boys were born. I love both so much so this is their birthday post.

Seth Min Cheol Mohr

Happy Birthday little Seth. I love you so much and am so excited that you are a part of our family. I haven't met you yet, but I already claim you as my very very cute Korean nephew who I am so excited to dote upon. You make everyone so happy just by existing which is a feat in and of itself. All of us are waiting for you to come home to your mommy and daddy. I'm counting down the days until I can just hold you and love you.

Luke Parley Hill

Happy Birthday Luke. You are such a cute and amazing little person. You're little smile lights up a room. It never ceases to make me want to just hug and squeeze you becuase you are so freaking cute. I am excited to see you grow up and as your aunt, raise you right. I love you so much.

So there, you all have witnessed me wishing happy Anti-Womb day to the two cutest little boys in the entire world, and yes... I mean the entire world. It seems silly that I should write to them because neither can read... or speak... or care about this, but I'm an silly aunt... indulge me.

Playmill Fun: Year 4 (and the horrifying countdown until school)

If you haven't ever been to the Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, all I have to say is that we are no longer friends. The Playmill Theatre has been a staple in my child hood for as long as I can remember and it continues to make me dance around the room at the very thought of it.

Kristie and I go up each and every summer for the last 4 years and spend a week at my cabin while basking in the glory that is Island Park. We usually stay for about a week and see all three of the Playmill shows. The first 2 years were especially fun, what with my sister Kristi (I just can't seem to get away from it... all of my daughters will probably be named kristi(e) too....) working up there and all. We would take long rides up in Yellowstone, and for the last 3 years floated the river next to big springs... which might I add is the worst, and I am not exagerating here, worst float in the entire world. Without going into much detail, that river brought contention and 2nd degree sunburns, which we wisely did not choose add to our vacation this year.

But there are some interesting stories to report this year. We were sitting at the Canyon Street Grill and I was getting really bored waiting for our food, so like the 4 year old I am, I started blowing water bubbles in my water glass. I told my mom to try it and she did. But her glass was still to full of water and she blew really hard into her glass and covered herself in water. I wish I had caught it on video because it was ridiculous. Secondly, Kristie and I found very cute moose pajama pants for $19.95 in one store and were constantly on the look out for the same pants at a cheeper price. Low and behold, we found them at another store but for $23.99. An old woman was looking at them and Kristie kindly walked up to her and told her she could buy them for three dollars cheaper at another store. The lady was like "I know!" and was very grumpy and rude. So a few steps away I turn to Kristie and told her that that lady didn't seem very grateful for the advice. Kristie's face flushed deep crimson and she said "Kim... she works here." Kristie had only noticed her nametag after she had mentioned it to her.

On the shows themselves... they were very very very good. If you get a chance to go, any one of the three shows is incredible, so if you get can. see them all.

Ps. 10 days until school starts, or until my life ends. whichever you like.

Cause I'm just that cool on Saturday nights

So I've come to realize that one can only be so lame on Saturday nights. Like going to Perkins for cinnamon rolls at 9:30 and then eating them in the Target parking lot while others run quick little errands. Here we enter in being inebriated without ever having tasted alcohol in your life. My guess would be something in the cinnamon rolls. Oh and angry girls who break van doors. This is all followed by going back and watching even more Olympics (all the while discovering, however, that no matter how loud you yell at the television or how loud you talk to each other, the Olympians in Beijing are not going to hear you and thus not be hindered or helped by your vocalizations). The evening wraps up nicely after that.

Let me tell you it is always a party in Idaho Falls.

A Brief Discourse on Blogging

I swear its taking over the world. I knew it would come to this someday and now it finally has. I guess I could blame it all on my sisters with their not-so-boring-lives and adorable babies, but they have a reason to do it and well, its interesting enough to read, so I would feel bad blaming it on them entirely. I fought it for as long as I could and I probably would have beaten the plague if it hadn't infected my friends. It started with one, then spread to another and before I knew it, most of them were blogging or planning on blogging. The sinister Blogspot was now becoming a permant feature in our coversations, the inescapable topic (followed shortly by the repetitiveness of our coversations and/or the battle over the infamous question game *shudder*). Surrounded as I was by the Blog Plague, I gave up trying. So here is my blog, just a newborn in this world and it is my job to nurture said blog until it reaches full maturity. Or until I get bored. Whichever comes first.

But to think the power to say whatever you want, whenever you want, without the fear of offending anyone. Or with the hopes of offending everyone as the case may be. I could lie (and yes I can lie Cassidy, you just never catch me when I do because I am that good) or I could be blatantly obvious like some tall gangly people I know. Or I could just not blog at all and make myself ridiculously mysterious and have people begging for my ever so hilarious and punny posts. Or I could write stories and update every week. The possiblilities are limitless. On a blog, I could even claim to be a 17 year old queen living in a world with a centaur boyfriend and a centaur baby (oh it was the most horrible experience of my life) and you would just have to tolerate me because you wouldn't know any different.

So yes. I've caught the bug. I don't think science has found a cure other than cutting the power for this very chronic disease. What a travesty that my computer illiterate life should have to end so soon. There was so much left to be undiscovered.
